The chain BlueBay Hotels has presented its growth plan until 2020 in which it plans to invest 60 million euros in reforms and open between six and eight new establishments during this 2019, a year in which they hope to grow up to 8%.
The CEO of Bluebay Hotels, has reviewed the main achievements of 2018 among which has highlighted the increase in the number of hotels, since they have gone from 53 establishments in 2017 to 61 in 2018 (15% more) and the increase in destinations, going from 35 in 2017 to 41 in 2018 (17.1% more).
The strategic lines of growth of the group until 2020, with 60 million euros allocated to improve the facilities, and has advanced that they plan to open between six and eight new establishments this year. Currently, the group has a total of 26,071 seats and has 61 hotels located in 41 destinations and 16 countries.
The main reform that will be undertaken will be that of the BlueBay Grand Esmeralda hotel (Riviera Maya, Mexico), and of the Bellevue Club Mallorca 3 * hotel.
Luxury tourist apartments
BlueBay has also announced that the company, as part of its growth plan, continues to expand its tourism offer with the creation of BlueBay Vacation Rentals, a new line of business based on high-quality holiday apartments for vacation rentals located in destinations of relevance.
The first apartment complexes that make up this new area have opened in the Dominican Republic and Colombia, but Hernandez has said that “we are also considering incorporating establishments in Spain as long as we find a product that meets the BlueBay quality.”
